Generations One: A Punk Look At Human Rights
Punk rock has been deeply rooted in human rights politics, from its earliest
days in England through its modern American incarnation.
This CD compilation of punk music is a tribute to Eleanor Roosevelt (on
the cover), who led the United Nations to adopt the Universal
Declaration of Human Rights in 1948. Generations One features
a track by the Electric Dog House, a band lead by former
Clash singer/song-writer/guitarist Joe Strummer, GreenDay, Bad
Brains, and Lagwagon are also featured.
